Passion, care, and community: Meet Sandy Temple
At Riverside Place, Sandy Temple’s passion for people shines through in a caring community that offers seniors support, activities, and connection.

Meet Sandy Temple, the Residency Coordinator at Riverside Place in downtown Midland. With a background in marketing, sales, and hospitality—including running a bed and breakfast—Sandy has always had a passion for helping others. “I love working with people and making a difference in their lives. This role was a perfect fit for me,” she shares.
Riverside Place is more than just an independent senior living community for those 55 and older—it’s a place that fosters connection and care.
“We’re not just an apartment building; we provide activities, daily meals, and nursing coordination. It’s a community where people truly care for one another,” Sandy explains. As a city-owned property, Riverside Place offers services that set it apart, creating a space where residents feel supported and engaged.
Sandy is especially proud of how the community came together during the 2020 flood. “Our community as a whole really rallied around us, both physically and financially, when our residents were displaced after the flood,” she reflects.
For Sandy, working here is more than just a job—it’s about making a difference. “I get to work for the city I’ve grown to love, and Riverside embodies what I value most: family, friends, and community. There’s truly no place like it.”
